IMPLEMENTATION

The project presents a clear and precise layout, allowing for a serene intervention in which the building fits into its surroundings without superfluous gestures, establishing a balanced relationship between volume, orientation and exterior space. Priority is given to the front orientation, achieving a more spacious area in relation to the surrounding garden.

The orientation guides the layout of the programme, ensuring an optimal relationship with natural light and climate. The main rooms open up to the best solar conditions offered by the east, while the more private areas are protected and sheltered. The house closes off from the outside when necessary and opens up naturally to the garden spaces, creating a precise relationship between privacy and openness.

REFINED VOLUMETRY

he project is built on geometric simplicity, understood as a structuring principle between two volumes that seem to slide across the front plane, generating different degrees of privacy depending on the interior space.

Defined planes and sharp edges configure a clear volumetry, where the line takes centre stage and the refined edge becomes an essential element of the composition. The architecture is expressed through proportion, section and control of the void, generating a presence that is both emphatic and restrained.

Access to the lower secluded garden is subtly provided via a staircase carved into the site, adjacent to the entrance to the house itself, contrasting with the open space once you reach this area.

ZONING

The functional organisation is based on a clear differentiation between day and night areas, without this implying rigid compartmentalisation. The common spaces are conceived as open and flexible areas, directly linked to the exterior, while the private areas are arranged as more contained spaces, oriented towards rest and privacy.

The courtyard, present at different levels, acts as an articulating element, introducing light and spatial continuity between levels. On the lower level, there is a large open-plan space that can be used for various purposes, as well as other parts of the housing programme.

The materiality of the dwelling responds to a sober and timeless palette. The large-format ceramic cladding on the façades provides a homogeneous texture, the wood introduces warmth to the spaces and frames the openings, and the glass allows light to shape the spaces with precision. The materials express themselves from their own nature, without artifice, reinforcing the formal clarity and coherence of the whole.

This apparent formal clarity conceals a complex spatial organisation, articulated by changes in level, courtyards and platforms that enrich the experience of those who live there. The spaces flow continuously, connected visually and physically, allowing the house to be discovered gradually. The visual lines, always controlled, establish diagonal relationships between interior and exterior, expanding the perception of space and reinforcing the depth of the whole.

The outdoor spaces are an essential part of the project. Terraces, courtyards and the swimming pool are integrated into the architecture as a natural extension of the interior spaces, forming a continuous landscape. These areas are understood as habitable spaces that structure everyday life and reinforce the relationship with the environment.
